Jazz dance is all about energy, attitude, and fun! With upbeat music and cool moves, jazz lets kids and teens show off their style while building confidence. From quick footwork to big jumps and sassy turns, jazz is a chance to express yourself, stay active, and shine on stage. Every class is packed with excitement — it’s dancing with personality!
TAP
Mariposa dancers: Tap it loud, dance it proud!
Tap dance turns your feet into drums! Every shuffle, stomp, and slide makes music — and you’re the star of the band! In tap class, kids and teens get to make noise, create cool rhythms, and have a blast while moving to the beat. It’s all about making sounds, showing off your style, and having fun with every step!
BALLET
Dream big. Dance beautifully. Grow with grace.
Ballet helps young dancers move with grace, focus, and imagination! For ages 3 and up, classes introduce beautiful steps, twirls, and poses while building strength, discipline, and confidence. Dancers explore the magic of movement, expressing themselves through music and stories as they grow their skills and love for dance.
HIP HOP
Feel the beat. Own your style. Dance it out!
Hip hop is all about energy, style, and attitude! With fresh moves, fun grooves, and awesome beats, dancers get to let loose and express themselves. In every class, kids and teens build confidence, coordination, and their own unique style — all while having a blast. From cool combos to freestyle fun, hip hop turns up the music and the excitement!
ACRO
Flip it. Dance it. Own it!
Acro dance is where strength meets style! With a mix of dance, gymnastics, and cool tricks, acro helps dancers build flexibility, balance, and control. Kids and teens love mastering cartwheels, handstands, and tumbling moves — all blended with smooth choreography. Every class builds confidence as dancers learn to move with power and grace!
MUSICAL THEATRE

Musical theatre is where kids sing it, dance it, and act it out — all at once! Every class is packed with catchy songs, silly characters, fun dance moves, and big stage energy. Kids build confidence, imagination, and show-stopping style as they laugh, learn, and shine like stars. It’s all about telling stories, making friends, and having a blast on stage!
KINDER DANCE

Kinderdance at Mariposa Dance Company is the perfect first step into the world of dance! Designed for ages 3–4, this playful class introduces little dancers to ballet and jazz in a fun, encouraging environment. With music, movement, and lots of imagination, children build coordination, rhythm, and confidence — all while twirling, skipping, and smiling every step of the way!
LYRICAL

Lyrical dance blends ballet, jazz, and expressive movement to tell a story through music. Dancers explore emotion, creativity, and grace as they move to beautiful, inspiring songs. In every class, kids and teens build strength, flexibility, and confidence while learning to connect their steps with feeling — turning dance into art!
CONTEMPORARY

ZUMBA
Mariposa Zumba: Move. Groove. Feel great!
Zumba at Mariposa Dance Company is a dance party disguised as a workout! With upbeat music, easy-to-follow moves, and tons of energy, Zumba gets your heart pumping and your feet moving. Every class feels like a celebration, with dancers shaking, stepping, and smiling their way to fitness. It’s the perfect way to stay active, have fun, and dance like nobody’s watching!
A ZUMBA FITNESS PARTY combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body using an aerobic/fitness approach to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
Dancers and non-dancers alike immediately and easily master a ZUMBA class because previous dance experience is not necessary. A ZUMBA class creates a party-like atmosphere. All students feel comfortable knowing that they can just go with the flow and enjoy a ZUMBA FITNESS PARTY.
