Miss Corinna

Miss Corinna began her dance journey at the age of three and quickly developed a passion that led her into the world of competitive dance. Throughout her training, she had the opportunity to work with some of the most prominent figures in the dance industry, further shaping her artistry and professional approach.

​

Her technical training was grounded in renowned syllabi, including the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA), the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), and the Cecchetti method. Miss Corinna is extensively certified through ADAPT, PAEC, CDTA, Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility, and the Professional Adjudicators Alliance, ensuring her teaching is both comprehensive and current.

She is committed to professional development and is continually upgrading her knowledge and skills to remain at the forefront of dance education. Under her guidance, Mariposa Dance Company students have successfully advanced to numerous post-secondary programs in dance and the performing arts, a testament to her dedication to excellence in training.

​

Miss Corinna’s mission is to provide students with the highest level of technical instruction while fostering a love for the art form that will inspire them both on and off the stage.

Miss Sara

Sara’s dance education began at the age of 3. Studying Jazz, Tap, Acro, Ballet and Contemporary at MDC, as she grew up in the studio and gained more experience she ultimately fell in love with teaching. An accomplished dancer with many awards, she has become certified in many areas helping to build a stronger, more well-rounded dancer. Miss Sara has a diploma in Leisure and Recreation Services from Georgian College, she is a certified dance teacher through ADAPT as well as Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility and Professional Adjudicators Alliance. Sara continues to expand her teaching by attending workshops and summer programs. She continues to teach all disciplines at MDC to children 3 and up in the recreational and competitive programs with a focus on Acro and Contemporary.

Miss Ella

With 14 years of dance experience, Ella’s heart beats to the rhythm of tap! She’s represented Team Canada twice for tap and is currently part of the World Performers Canada team dancing in Spain 2025.
 

Outside of the studio, Ella loves swimming, wakeboarding, and spending summer days out on the boat —when she’s not dancing, of course!
 

Ella is a certified Assistant Teacher through ADAPT and has been a teacher at MDC for 2 years, inspiring younger dancers with her energy and passion.
 

Looking ahead, Ella plans to study nursing for her undergrad and then head to med school to become a paediatrician (hopefully!). All while keeping dance as part of her journey!

Miss Ady

Starting her 13th year of dance, Ady is a tap enthusiast who lives for the sound of her shoes on stage!  Tap is her favorite style, but when she’s not dancing, you can find her swimming, testing out fun new hairstyles, riding roller coasters at amusement parks, or shopping for the next great outfit.
 

Ady is a certified Assistant Teacher through ADAPT and is now a teacher in training at MDC. Her dance journey has taken her incredible places—she’s been a proud member of Team Canada Tap 2022, part of TRI Training 2023 & 2024, a Rhythm Ensemble dancer in 2023-2024 (Toronto), and is currently on the World Performers Canada Tap Team 2024/25.
 

With big dreams ahead, Ady hopes to tap dance professionally and keep sharing her passion for rhythm with the world!

Miss Gabi

With 12 years of dance under her belt, Gabi shines on stage with her love for contemporary and jazz! She is currently on the World Performers Canada team competing in Spain 2025.
 

Gabi is also a certified Assistant Teacher through ADAPT and has successfully completed the in-house teacher training program at MDC. When she’s not dancing, you’ll probably spot her hanging out with friends, watching movies, paddle boarding, swimming, or crushing a workout.
 

She’s passionate about giving back—whether she’s assisting in dance classes, helping out with lifeguarding, or volunteering at school.
 

Next stop? University for Radiology, while continuing to move to the rhythm of her dreams!

Miss Charlotte

With 10 years of dance—all at MDC—Charlotte is a tap lover through and through!  She also enjoys jazz, contemporary, and acro, always ready to bring energy and creativity to the stage.
 

Outside of dance, Charlotte keeps busy with horseback riding, crocheting, drawing, baking, helping out on the family farm, and hanging out with friends . She’s active in school sports like volleyball and baseball and loves assisting at MDC summer camp.
 

Charlotte is a certified Assistant Teacher through ADAPT and is currently a teacher in training at MDC, sharing her passion with younger dancers.

Looking ahead, she’s considering fashion design for university—combining her eye for style with her creative spirit!

Miss Emily

Dancing since the age of 7, Emily lights up the stage with her love for contemporary and tap. She’s currently proud to represent World Performers Canada (WPC), sharing her passion with audiences beyond the studio! 
 

Emily is a certified Assistant Teacher through ADAPT and is currently a teacher in training at MDC, where she loves helping younger dancers grow and succeed.
 

When she’s not dancing, Emily enjoys baking up sweet treats, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her pets.
 

Always ready to learn and grow, Emily brings creativity, kindness, and energy to everything she does

Miss Hailey

Hailey began her dance career at the age of four at Mariposa Dance Company. She started training in tap, ballet, and jazz before joining the competitive team at age eight, where she expanded her repertoire to include contemporary, lyrical, pointe, musical theatre, and acro. Hailey has competed all across Ontario, winning numerous overalls, scholarships, and special awards throughout the years. She has also performed locally in Ballet Jörgen’s production of The Nutcracker.

Hailey has completed her tap and jazz exams up to the intermediate level. She began teaching recreationally in 2019 and started choreographing competitive dances in 2021. She completed the Assistant Teacher Training Program and later graduated from the ADAPT Teacher Training Program, becoming a certified dance instructor. Additionally, she has completed Module One, as well as the back handspring and aerials portion of the Acrobatic Arts program. 

​

She is currently studying Business Administration at George Brown College and teaching dance in Toronto. Hailey is thrilled to be back at her home studio and cannot wait to share her love of dance with others! Her favourite styles are lyrical and jazz!
